President Chris Rokosh has been appointed to a national multidisciplinary team instituting safer practices in Obstetrical careby developing “OTAS: Obstetrical Triage Acuity Scale”.
Chris Rokosh and Paulette DeKelver (partner at Weir Bowen) co-presented “How to Instruct Your Experts and Prepare Them for Trial” at the ACTLA (Alberta Civil Trial Lawyer’s Association) seminars March 2014 in Calgary and Edmonton. Very well received (all ratings were Good or Excellent!), as well as stimulated some excellent discussion.
Chris Rokosh spokeat the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants annual conference in Denver April 2014.
Chris Rokosh is nominated for the Award for Excellence in Nursing Education with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta. Chris was also the keynote speaker at the recent Alberta Health Services Learning Day – presenting to over 250 nurses and allied healthcare professionals.
Thank you to Justice Rosalyn Zisman, and lawyers Paul Cahill of Will Davidson and Michael Burger of Mathews Abodago LLP for their participation in Law Day in the “Introduction to Legal Nurse Consulting” course in Toronto. The CanLNC profile continues to increase. Chris Rokosh, the President of CanLNC was interviewed on Toronto’s GlobalTV Breakfast Television for the 2014 Nursing Week. Chris discussed patient safety and how patients can increase their likelyhood of a successful hospital stay. Chris was also covered in The National Post, published inHospital News, Healthy Living Magazine, and was quoted in Canadian Livings “10 Secrets to a Successful Hospital Stay“. Chris also presented at the CAPWHN conference in Victoria, the NeuroTrauma Conference for the Hamilton Health Sciences, at the Canadian Vascular Access Association, presented at the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants National Conference in Pittsburgh, and to the CANN Conference in Montreal. Chris also presented the “Seven Most Common Reasons Family Physicians Get Sued” to a group of Physicians, and taught a group of medical malpractice lawyers “Fetal Heart Monitoring Basics” and presented at an AWHONN conference in Los Angeles. Chris has also been accepted into the prestigious Women Presidents Organization and worldwide UnitedSuccess Organization.
