Customer Need
The Cardiovascular Research Foundation (CRF),
which focuses on research and education in
interventional cardiovascular medicine, was
committed to bringing its annual symposium, the
Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics (TCT)
conference, into the digital age. CRF wanted to
provide the some 12,000 attendees with tablet
computers that would allow them to navigate
through the large event easily and get the most
benefit from the many presentations.
Samsung Solution
CRF partnered with Samsung to provide all TCT
attendees with an 8-inch Galaxy Tab 3, pre-loaded
with customized apps to enrich the conference
experience. A compact, powerful and easy-to-use
tablet solution, the Galaxy Tab is comfortable to
grip in one hand or to slip into a standard lab coat
pocket, providing busy healthcare professionals the
perfect mobile companion both at the event and in
their working lives.
Results
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 made it easier for TCT
attendees to handle many tasks at the conference
– from creating a personalized event schedule
and ensuring they received continuing education
credits for sessions attended, to viewing live
streams and asking real-time questions through
online forums during presentations. In addition to
enhancing the conference experience, the tablets
also allowed CRF to go paperless and achieve
significant savings by eliminating printing costs.
